KAYLA CARREIRO

Kayla offers individual counselling sessions to adults navigating a range of challenges, including developmental and behavioural issues, learning disabilities, life transitions, interpersonal relationships, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), self-esteem, and stress.

Each session lasts approximately 50 minutes. Traditionally therapist and patient meet once a week negotiating for a more intensive or less intensive frequency is always an option. The optimal number of sessions needed to see improvement depends on the goals of the patient is based entirely on individual needs.  french

ANDREEA CALIAN

Andreea is a Canadian Certified Counsellor with the CCPA and obtained her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. She believes that counselling is not about quick fixes, but rather a process of gaining a deep self-understanding in order to build a life that feels authentic and fulfilling. Her approach is depth-oriented, rather than focusing on symptom management alone. She integrates elements from a range of therapeutic theories and collaborates with clients to find what truly resonates.

She works with individuals, couples, and families, offering counselling services in both English and French, and is available online or in person.

SARAH LEMME

Sarah Lemme is a qualifying counselling intern specializing in supporting children, adolescents, parents, and families in overcoming life's challenges. She employs a client-centered approach, valuing the capability of individuals striving for change in their lives and tailoring her use of various therapeutic modalities to meet each client’s needs.

 

Her eclectic approach integrates a variety of techniques, drawing from psychodynamic therapy, play-centred therapy, humanistic client-centered therapy, a systemic lens, cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness practices. These diverse modalities allow her to tailor the sessions to effectively support each individual. 

 

She completed her studies at Yorkville University, and her internship at two different locations. She is a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA).

 

Her experience spans across various settings, including the CLSC, readaptation centers, summer camps, and more, providing her with valuable insights into assisting children with diverse needs, as well as their families. This includes working with neurodevelopmental challenges such as intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum disorder, as well as physical disabilities and emotional challenges. 

 

She is passionate about empowering children and families, and her goal is to create a nurturing environment where clients can discover their strengths and resilience. Through self-reflection and guidance in a supportive space, she works with her clients to navigate life's complexities, uncovering strategies and tools to foster healing, personal growth, and the ability to thrive and lead fulfilling lives.

HIRA SYED

Hira is a qualifying counselling intern. She is a dedicated prospective psychotherapist pursuing a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology. Passionate about supporting individuals through personal challenges, she emphasizes a client-centered, strengths-based approach. With experience in the health sector, Hira has worked with diverse clients facing issues such as depression, anxiety, and domestic abuse, helping them achieve improved mental health.

She integrates elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with a humanistic perspective in her practice. Committed to providing empathetic, non-judgmental, and confidential support, Hira looks forward to collaborating with clients to explore their concerns and goals. She is also a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA).
