WALK-IN SERVICE

What is the walk-in service?

The walk-in service is available to new and existing patients without an appointment, who are looking for assistance with mild to moderate problems. The walk-in service is meant to help patients in a timely manner so as to prevent long wait times. Each session at the walk-in service makes use of short-term, focused, cognitive behaviour therapeutic approaches.

Who is this service for?

Short-term, solution-focused interventions are used to help individuals who are encountering difficulties coping with the problems of living; they may have trouble relating to others or they may be experiencing concerns about their behaviours or feelings. Short-term, solution-focused interventions are different from many other therapies you may have heard about or even experienced. You will be getting specific advice from your therapist on ways to start feeling better.

Can patients return for a follow-up?

Although you are under no obligation to continue services, should you wish to have further sessions with the therapist that you have seen, every subsequent session is 50 minutes long and the fees for each 50 minute session may vary depending on who will provide follow-up. If this does not suit your needs, we are more than happy to help guide you and/or put you in contact with the right mental health professional.

How much does it cost?

The walk-in service without appointment is available both in-person or virtually on Saturdays from 9am to 4pm and has a cost of 75$, payable in person by cheque, cash, debit or credit card. For virtual sessions, internet banking and other remote payments are possible such as e-transfer.
